This project will support and expand the further legal and institutional establishment of the SAFFRD, which is part of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations to establish and implement policies aligned with EU policies which support sustainable improvement of agriculture and rural economic activities in BiH.Objectives:To increase administrative capacities for Strategic Planning and Policy Harmonization and elaboration of the Rural Development Strategy for BiH
- Administrative capacities for coordination and harmonization agriculture and rural development policies improved;
- Administrative capacity at all BiH levels created for coordination and harmonised implementation of policy and support measures for improved competitiveness of agriculture sector and compliance with international trade agreements
To provide support to enhanced human resources management services of the government bodies involved in the Project
- Strengthening HRM services in the relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry
- Helping establish OHCPS
- Developing suitable scholarship and work placement opportunities, funded by other donors, for selected staff in state, Entity and DoB institutions
To provide support to IPA-RD compliant management, control and information services
- Management and control systems for pre-accession assistance in agriculture and RD established,
- Public awareness program in support for pre-accession assistance to agriculture and RD prepared and implemented.
